HomePro Storm and Hurricane Services
HomePro Storm / Hurricane Basics HomePro's Storm / Hurricane Policy
¤Tropical Storm Watch
Tropical Storm Watch means that a tropical storm is expected to encounter the coastal zone within 36 hours. The cone of error is 120 miles plus.

¤Tropical Storm Warning
Tropical Storm Warning means that a storm with high winds, surf and coastal flooding is expected in our area. Typically HomePro brings in outdoor furniture, potted plants and other garden decor items at this level.

¤Hurricane Watch
A Hurricane Watch is a 36 hour warning toward coastal areas within a 120 mile radius subject to hourly change. HomePro will provide our customers with a no/go on a prearranged hurricane plan during this period.

¤Hurricane Warning
A Hurricane Warning is a call to batten down the hatches and in some instances to prepare to evacuate. HomePro will immediately commence on our customers' hurricane plans at or before this point. We will continue working until 24 hours prior to the hurricane's arrival, at which time we will prepare to evacuate our own workers and families.

¤For additional information on the five hurricane categories (Saffir-Simpson Scale) please visit the National Hurricane Center Website

HomePro Services also offers prompt and professional hurricane and storm clean-up services.
¤ HomePro Services will update you as these warnings progress and let you decide the level of care needed to protect your home. We recommend having a written policy in place with each customer to avoid confusion and ensure all expectations are met.

¤ HomePro Services will continue working until 24 hours before a major storm is expected to strike, at which time we will evacuate our own workers and families.

¤ Levels of care:
-Outdoor furniture, potted plants and prearranged garden decor items brought indoors
-Water cut off

-HomePro Services maintains a hurricane plan ready to implement on short notice for our existing customers. We have conducted dry hurricane runs on several properties. As we add clients, we update our plan and ensure we have staff on hand to ensure all properties are secured.

¤ Subcontracting:
-HomePro Services does not subcontract hurricane preparation. Our staff personally oversees all preparations and batten-down operations.
